-Upon his deathbed our 13th president, Millard Fillmore, uttered his last words after being fed his last meal:

“the nourishment is palatable.”

I can only hope mine are as epic. You can now find him interred at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo, NY.

-During his presidency, Millard Fillmore and his wife, Abigail, founded the first White House library. Appropriately, you can now read a book about the whole process, The First White House Library: A History and Annotated Catalogue.

-Fillmore’s post-presidency brainchild was the Buffalo Historical Society–of which he was the first president. It’s now known as the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society. Currently, they are running an exhibit called Fact, Fiction & Spectacle: The Trial of Red Jacket

-Here’s a coloring page of the Millard Fillmore $1 U.S. coin. You know, for the kids!

-If you learn better through song, two of the best are Millard Fillmore by Electric Needle Room and What a Compromising Situation, Millard Fillmore! by the Academic Challenge Team

-Best. Bobblehead. Ever!

-If you’re a memorabilia collector, there is quite a bit of Millard Fillmore stuff available, such as: a Signed photo w/ Autograph Note, a Full Signed Letter from 1836, and a Campaign Lithograph from 1848.

-Uncyclopedia has an entertaining “alternate” view of his life. Which leads us to his appearance on the series, American Douchebag:

Previous Presidents:
1. George Washington
2. John Adams
3. Thomas Jefferson
4. James Madison
5. James Monroe
6. John Quincy Adams
7. Andrew Jackson
8. Martin Van Buren
9. William Henry Harrison
10. John Tyler
11. James K. Polk
12. Zachary Taylor
