I Hate to Admit It

6 February 2011

I need to confess. I’ve been holding this in for too long and I must come clean. I LOVE watching Aaron Rodgers play quarterback:

In the game today he represents the things that are right about sports. He’s not sexually assaulting women in the off-season:

Ben Roethlisberger

He’s not sexting with women who are not his wife:

Brett Favre

He’s not the father of nine children with eight different women:

Antiono Rodgers-Cromartie

He overcame the fact that nobody recruited him to play in college and that Alex Smith was selected well before him in the NFL draft. He patiently came into the NFL and bided his time as a backup. All the time he was patiently learning and not complaining. When he finally got the chance to start, he was amazing and has continued to be. Plus, between his photobombs and touchdown celebration, we know he has a sense of humor.

I can now admit, “Yes, I really enjoy watching Aaron Rodgers play.” With all that being said, I will root for the Steelers today.

Packers suck!
